Stace Pagel

Stace grew up in Deer Park, TX and now lives in Friendswood, TX with her husband and two boys.

She is a stay at home mother and stays active as a support member of the Friendswood Volunteer Fire Department (FVFD), head of recruiting for her son’s Cub Scout troop and amatuer photographer for the local newspaper and special events at the elementary school.  The picture at left was taken by her five year old!  🙂

Stace has a Master’s Degree in Environmental Science, and before motherhood worked as a Safety, Health, and Environmental Supervisor for three hazardous waste (industrial treatment, storage and disposal) facilities.

Fletcher the Fly was created to extend a few of Stace’s life values to children.  “Love is the meaning of life“.  “What goes around comes around.” (ie, if you do good things for people every chance you get, good things happen to you.), and “You can be friends with anyone if you try.”

Fletcher not only decides to live by these lessons, he makes a new friend in the process… a HUMAN friend!

“I think the book is unique because kids are good at heart, and they don’t realize that all they have to do is give back, and it will all come back to them” -S.Pagel
