Wonderful Story: A nice old man came up to my table and said he’d like to buy a book. “Ok, who would you like me to make it to?” I asked. “I don’t know the boy’s name, but he asked me if I’d buy the book for him and I’m gonna do it!” He told me. My heart just warmed and glowed! This is the spirit everyone needs to have, and I love it when I hear about it! I made the book out from “the nice man at the book fair who bought this for you.” I grabbed my camera and followed him, not wanting to miss the look on the child’s face. But the man couldn’t find the boy in the sea of people milling around. I asked what he looked like, and that I would help. “He’s a young guy, but tall, skinny, blond hair and glasses.” My stomach fell. I pointed. “Does he have a blue shirt on?” The man got very happy for a moment… “Yes, that’s him!” I shook my head and laughed, “That’s MY kid!” I had to tell him. My youngest son (and best marketer) had been selling the book and asked the man to purchase it from him. The man shook his head and sighed, “Well, I guess I’ll give it to my grandson.” That was such a nice thing to do for someone, just because. Always give. It all comes back…especially the smiles.
